About Caitlan Anne Consulting & Mutuality Realized LLC
Mutuality Realized LLC, DBA Caitlan Anne Consulting, works to advance human consciousness and potential, especially as it relates to interpersonal excellence for individuals, groups, and organizations, and to tackling human relations issues that impede our ability to enjoy a just, equitable, peaceful, and joyful existence. This mission is accomplished through a wide variety of collaborative processes, conflict transformation practices, educational experiences, organizational interventions, and the facilitation of individual breakthroughs. The founder and owner - Caitlan A. Hendrickson, M.Ed., CO-OP - offers these services in both English and Spanish, and is also an experienced translator and interpreter. She founded the business under the original name of Bilingual Communication Solutions in Oregon in 2008. She now lives in the National Capital Region and provides services locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally - in person and virtually. Caitlan has over nineteen years of experience in conflict transformation and Appropriate/Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in a wide variety of settings, including in higher education, healthcare, business, court, government, and non-profit organizations. This experience ranges from one-on-one coaching and consulting to mediations, large-group processes and interventions, Ombuds work, restorative practices, and in-depth trainings. As the Director of the Office of the Ombuds at the University of Arizona (UA), Caitlan served an international constituency of over sixty thousand in all UA colleges, units, and locations, spanning from the main campus in Tucson, AZ to throughout the globe. Leading Ombuds services at a large, Research-1 (R1) academic institution that also housed multiple health sciences units, including two Colleges of Medicine and affiliated programs and facilities, provided a foundation of Ombuds experience that is truly multidisciplinary, bridging countless academic disciplines, healthcare, and research and innovation. Prior to her work at the UA, Caitlan served as Director of Conflict Resolution Services at the University of Oregon, where she also ran a Restorative Justice Program, Neutral Observer Program, and court-based mediation clinic. Currently, Caitlan serves as the Ombuds for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and runs her business on the side.
Caitlan also has extensive experience working and volunteering with under-served and marginalized communities in the non-profit and social service sector. Her work in this area focused on multicultural inclusion, sexual and interpersonal violence, homeless and at-risk populations, food security, foster families, and social research. She has worked extensively with trauma survivors, providing support counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, and support group facilitation. In addition, she spent years volunteering with torture survivors and currently volunteers assisting asylum seekers and refugees.
Caitlan is originally from the Midwest region of the U.S. (Minnesota), spent many years living in the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest, and currently resides in the National Capital Region.
